Well, I’ve been home for less than four hours and I’ve already fooled with DSL, formatted a Hard Drive, circumvented the porn/naughty word filters on the family computer, and installed Windows 98 (gag). Yes, it’s true… I am the Holiday Family Tech Support unit.
I’ve been trying to convince my fam to get a new computer. Partially because they can do much better than what they have, and partially because I wanna build another one. If they decide not to, I may just have to build another for myself. What I’d really like to do is go back to school with a WindowsXP (or Win2k, I still can’t decide which) computer and a linux computer to fool around on. that would be ideal.
The ten hour drive wasn’t too bad. I had Jean to keep me company (on the phone) for a bit followed by a horiffic thunderstorm to keep me company for a bit and then I was home. Upon my arrival the surprise gala in my honor commenced… not really… but the sibs seemed moderately happy to see me.
Tomorrow I play “Pete the Tech Guru” round 2, and apply for my second job of the summer… oh, and I’m gonna sleep in.

Yes, Pete\’s home! I\’m so happy, he got both of our computers to work. I bet the downpour didn\’t affect him in any way

Hehe… actually there were some problems with the cookies: Mainly that once you chose a name, it was next to impossible to change. This isn\’t a huge problem for most people… but some people like to change their names EVERY SINGLE TIME they post a comment. *cough*
