I’m back safe and sound from Atlanta, where I spent the day with Hilary, et al. It was a good time, but I’m a little tired so I’m going to keep this brief.

Here’s a funny quote highlight from the trip: (Seth is Hil’s boyfriend, Jeff is a friend of their’s)
Seth: Jeff, do you go to church?
Jeff: Yeah, I do, but not religiously.

One of the more entertaining events of the evening, though, was dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. Yum. We were eating next to a table of Indiana fans. At the end of our meal, Tim decides to send them a glass of “whatever they’re drinking” (which turned out to be wine), but only if our waiter took it to them courtesy of “The University of Maryland, who are soon to be NCAA Men’s Basketball Champions.” Our waiter complied. The Hoosier fans were not thrilled. They did, however, return the favor. Several minutes later, their waitress visisted our table with four double shots of Jagermeister. The woman for whom the wine was bought came over and sat with us to “See what kind of guys we really were.” Needless to say, we downed them like old pros. It was good, and everyone was a good sport about the whole thing. My thoughts? WTF do I care, free Jager! :)

To close, in recognition of old friends and new friends at Maryland (Hilary, Seth, Amanda, Tim, and Jeff) as well as the fact that my Illinois roots (shallow though they may be) cause me to have a slight aversion to IU. So tomorrow, I’ll be cheering for the Terps to cut the nets down. GO MARYLAND!

SatireWire has two interesting new articles up making fun of airport screeners. See the article and the chart. Hehe…

I’m now officially President of the UA [Circle K] Club. Congrats to all those Circle K folks who are entering new offices, leaving old offices, or both today.

Futhermore… oh, who am I kidding… furthermore, I’m going to bed. Goodnight.

No Big 10 Support from you huh?

  2. Pete says:

None. I support the SEC. Lacking an SEC team, I use things other than conference to help determine my allegiances. Not like it matters who I\’m cheering for. :)
