It’s been a while since I’ve journalized, so I might as well reach way back and hit the stuff I’ve missed. Thursday I ate dinner at the Phi Mu house with Cathy, that’s always a good time. Yay for guest night.

Friday I found myself at a Phi Mu Formal with my favorite freshman friend, Cathy. (Alliteration is great) As is to be expected, it was a good time. There were a number of very interesting occourances, not all of which will be shared here. I got to see some of my other Phi Mu friends, Carrie, Christy, Hannah and even our neighbor who actually recognized me and acknowledged my presence. That was an extremely strange thing to happen, and I was in shock for well over an hour. (When I told [Ry] about it, he was in shock for a while too) The band was good, but a few of those girls don’t know that they can’t sing, and that the microphone is a privilege, not a right.

Saturday I got up bright and early (8:00am) to go participate in the Capstone Event, a huge campus-wide service project. Circle K had the joyous task of cleaning up streets. The group that I went with had a 73 -year-old woman who walked (and helped pick up trash) for the several miles of road that we cleaned. She was a walking Tuscaloosa history book, and had a story for virtually every house we passed. She also doesn’t approve of Sunday alcohol sales, because that’s just one more day for drunk people to make a mess in the street. It should also be noted that my future wife (long story), and CK Club Treasurer, Rachel Mims gave me a little flower, which I secured away.

The 2002-2003 Circle K board held its first meeting on Sunday, it was a solid two-hours, but we got a lot accomplished. Rest assured that the club is in good hands. We’ve got a lot of ideas and I’m still really excited about getting to work with the group. We already seem to be meshing well. Later that evening [Cathy] and I ate and talked about all sorts of stuff for hours and hours. Then again, that’s her fault… she brought up a few topics that I could probably talk about for days and days.

This week doesn’t look to be all that exciting. Tomorrow we’re taking an interclub to UAH for Circle K and Wednesday is the Circle K installation ceremony. I don’t yet have Circle K plans for Thursday, but I’m sure I will. The [Blount] Formal is in a few weeks, so I’m trying to figure out who to take to that. Should be an interesting event. Hopefully it goes better than it did last year.

I’ve not heard anything back from Matt. I think I hurt his feelings by posting his little love note on the internet. But, you know, “no means no”. Ok, enough out of me. That’s the Pete-update for today.

You gotta give the Phi Mu gals a little slack on the less-than-lovely performances; we\’ll just say they might be better suited for such sober (yes, alliteration is great, isn\’t it?). Don\’t blame me that we talked all night! You kept asking questions!! If you didn\’t want to hear hour long responses, then it was muchly your decision! :)

Yeah… I guess I do already have a wife… but I doubt she\’d go with me to the formal. Oh well. ;)
