My Dad sent this news back from home:

“Pete, just a note to let you know that your brother and sister are at the I-I District convention in Decatur this week end.

We just heard from Kecia…she did well and R.J. rapped the I-I District song backwards. She thinks he did well and impressed a lot of people. just a note to let you know whats going on in I-I Land. They are filling Big Shoes.”

That’s good stuff. RJ and Kec are running for offices this weekend up in Illinois for [Key Club]. I made my impression there several years ago. If one or both of them can make their own impressions, we could very easily end up with a Holiday legacy or dynasty or something… the greatest thing about those kids is that even OUTSIDE of Key Club they do stuff to be proud of… and I really can’t wait until the youngest one gets into High School and starts showing us all up. But I’m rambling now… suffice it to say that they’re great kids and I love ‘em.

Of late I’ve been using the away message “If Jesus loves me, why does he never send flowers.” Well… today he sent me flowers… or one of his minions sent them in his name. Weird, huh? Yeah… I thought so too.

I did some College of Arts & Sciences Ambassador type stuff today. It was good. It turns out that Haley is, in fact, alive. Things weren’t akward… we made good conversation for the better part of two hours. Feels like the whole deal was a bit of a miscommunication, kinda. Oh well… still might be worth a try, or maybe I’m stupid and “just asking for it.” Oh well, I’ve realized lately that I still have some other options. Some may or may not be practical or realistic, but I do have other options. Among them: KB, fellow ambassador and [blountie]; A gal that sits in front of me in my Women class; and someone I don’t really know, but could… gotta love mutual friends. I’m also slightly working against the clock… there are only a few weeks before most people head away for the summer. I found out tonight, however, that Haley will be in Tuscaloosa for the summer. Hey… me too.

see.. lovers.. tons of them.. i told you so.

  2. Pete says:

LOL… yeah… whatever you say Jean. If those folks love me so much, why are they so sparse when I\’m trying to get in touch with them. The only person in that post that loves me is Jesus. Big deal… that\’s like his job, or something. ;)

  3. Cathieee says:

Is Jesus below your standards?? Gracious, Jesus is like the object of perfection! What more could you want? Hehe. And apparently He loves you a lot more than those other girls since He took the time to send you flowers and all… :)

  4. Pete says:

Ok… so you\’re saying that some guy who died a couple thousand years ago loves me more than these GIRLS living today? Sucks to be me. ;)

  5. Caffeine :) says:

Nonsense. You\’d pick \”these GIRLS living today\” over a God that, among other things, can make girls that actually like you? ;)

  6. Amy says:

Yeah, but God gave all those girls free will. I\’ll bet their will is to not like him. ;)

  7. Pete says:

Well, if you first grant the existance of god and then the omnipotence of said god, you could probably argue that he could make girls like me. Of course, could never really mattered much to me. I could have run a red light on the way back from lunch today… but I certainly didn\’t get a ticket for something I could have done. Besides, free will being what it is, I tend to agree with Amy.

  8. Cathy says:

Well… along with the free will bit comes the tendency thing. God very well has made girls with a tendency to like you, Peter Petest. Maybe they don\’t end up being the girlfriend thing, but they most certainly do exist. It seems to me that lot of \’em exist… Look what gender comments on your page all the time! :)
