wipes sweat from brow It’s been a long and arduous day of coding. I’m so close now that I can taste it. Book marks will need to be updated soon… which is sad because I JUST GOT LINKED by some very nice people (Batgrl, Eric, Faith, and maybe others?) Whew… at any rate, before I go grab a snack and waste away the rest of the evening, I thought I’d revisit what I’ve done today.
The links and humor pages were taken out of the database and have been converted to pure HTML. This makes editing them a little more difficult, but not much. I’ve moved into a subdomain on Holidian.com, which makes my URL easier to type and VERY easy to attach a domain name to. This may have caused some site breakage… if you find some let me know. Additionally, the quotes database is moved over. New feature in the quotes database: You can now link directly to any quote that you want. Big deal, right? Yeah… something like that. I also fixed some minorly broken things. Typos were fixed with many thanks to my favorite two copy-editors in the whole world, Amy and [Cathy].
I’m all signed up and ready to go for the “Around the Web” project of Eric’s.
My reign as a digital stalker has continued, it turns out that people are STILL searching for [Hitt, Holli C.|a certain person] and finding this site. What’s more interesting is when I get search terms like “pete holli hitt” that come from a Washington, D.C. area dial-up. Curious, no? The statistics that I get over on the holidian server are MUCH more detailed than my current stats, too… so this is only going to get worse/better (depending on your outlook).
Ok… and if you haven’t taken the time to read Davezilla go read it, damnit… it’s funny stuff. I promise. (Ok, funny might be an understatement)
Tomorrow I’ve got a few big projects left, coding the encyclopeteia, the main menu, statistics, and then the MAIN PAGE. If I can get all that done, I’ll be all set to return to the land of infinite corn on Tuesday/Wednesday.
It’s gonna be one heck of a project to have finished… leave encouragement or discouragement below. I’ll thrive off of either.
